When you make a team, what do you think about when making it?

I usually think about...
Having a well-balanced team. I don't like having two of teh same types in the same team. I also don't want to hit two weaknesses :/ The Elite 4 of the game. That's who I'm beating in the end. I make my team according to their Pokémon, most of the time The Appeal Factor of the Pokémon. This is the biggest one, I think. I don't want Pokémon that aren't appealing ^^; If the Pokémon can learn most of the HMs XD

I would want my team to be different in types, attacks, personality and looks. That ways they are well-balanced and an unbland team! :D

When I make a team, I usually catch one pokemon at a time while playing a game, and I only train those that go well together ^^

Ummm let's see...
1. Making sure that each pokemon checks and balances the other, and not having the same type on one team.
2. Giving them a variety of moves that can suit any situation. Accumulating a mass amount of data on how each move can work together to form a perfect(if not perfect, good) moveset.
3. What item they will hold.
4. Having at least one fire, grass, water, and psychic type on my team.
5. teaching HMs to a pokemon that that I normally won't use. Usually my stand in poke.
6. Making sure that each pokemon is in the same level ranger. Lke if my strongest is at lvl 67, then the rest of my pokemon must be at 60 or higher.
7. Cool and unusual nicknames :D

I first decide my Pokemons, then I only train the ones that I choose to be in my team. I'm not one of those people that train different Pokemon for advantages or anything like that. I only use the 6 I choose to be on my team, all have different types and at least one HM move each.

I tend to have mixed types, I never have two of the same type in my team

I dont really think that much about the types, it the moves that are important to me. Also, if I dont like the pokemon I wont use it (with the exception being that walrein). And yeah, they have to have the most random nicknames I can think of (e.g. LICH = my alakazam)

What I usually think of when building a team is:
Their Strengths and Weaknesses
Their Level
Their Happiness (In case I'm using that needs to evolve that way)
Their Movesets
and thats it people.
