Title page discussion

Hmm, I think this site doesn't get enough members because it looks tiny on the outside. I mean, if it was just English, then you could put all of the forums on the index. I wasn't going to join, but I though 'what the heck' and joined. I see now, it's great! But the main page looks small.

Yeah! I think that we should redo it :D Since it is the cover page, its our first impression.

Yes. I thought it was a tiny forum fome the index page. But it's actually quite big. I think the English forums should all be on the front page :)

I think favoring one language is not good for the concept of PI Forums. We tried this once, and we had massive disagreement, mainly from the other language members. I think the title page should have just links to the languages. Maybe we could put a picture up there with links to the languages, sort of like some sites have those "enter here" pics.

Or we could just jazz the title page up a little bit. You gotta admit, as a first impression, it doens't impress much.

we could ditch the T.P. and add the links to the nav bar... maybe..i think its just personal preference..

I know! If you had the English forums all on the main page, then have the translsated forums like they are now!

I don't think think that Pi would like that (or change it). What would make people say "Hey this place looks cool, maybe I should check it out!"?

But, that's just it, we aren't going to put the forums up there. The title page is the first thing you see when you go to the site, so we're trying to redo that. =/

well...we could probably add more things to the dark orange space..and get some animations or a slogan put in semi-transparency...if someone could put a demo thumbnail...we really need to make a thread for this on the art forum that we need...*hint-hint* but this one will suffice for now...
