well, whenever I come to the chat there is nobody there...
No wonder, because people don't think of the chat and live in a diferent time zone.
I want you suggest chat times, to gather more people.
Be careful: not everybody is living in the same time zone you do, so be sure to attach the time zone to your suggestion (for example 8am GMT =Greenwich Mean Time)
I'm also looking for people to look after the chat when I'm not there (under the week and the time I'm usually in bed^^), so I also need people from different places from all over the world.
You actually have to have a LOT of time to look after the chat.
I, myself suggest meeting on the chat every Friday and Saturday evening (Mid European Time)
What do you think?
Chareon

Cool, but what would mid European time be in America?

What about suggesting some times now?
Or telling us the time where you are online the most?

I'm online most after Iget home from school like from maybe 3:00 to 5:00pm then I do my homework and 7:00 to 9:00pm. I get sick a lot so, I maybe home at times. Onb Saturday I'm on from 10:00am to like 12:00n, I get off do something else, then I'm on from 3:00 to like 6:00 or 7:00pm. On Sundays I'm on at maybe 1:00 or 2:00 to 4:00, then I log off, and get back on at 6:00 to 8:30 or 9:00. I check in and out from time to time, so Imay just log on, post a while, check things out, then leave.
If I'm not on then I'm either grounded -_- the power is out, the internet is down, or I'm out of town or chillin' with my partners

I would suggest a script. But then again you have to be on all the time. I leave my computer on all night, and put my scripts on, that way in my channel, anything that is bad, the person egts banned and kicked until I unban. So yea...scripts could work for you. You can program your channel bot to have a kick script to.

Ok, here's my online time: US Mountains time (Colorado): 6:45am-7:45am . This is because I have school and my first class is computer so I can chat.
Some times I stayed until 9:20 (2 or 3 other days a week)
Wanna chat? Wake up soon y'all :D (unless you're in another state/country where the time is different)

Where do I get one of these scripts?
I can't be on all the time, I can't leave my computer on all the time, because it's very loud.
Also people, I see you a lot on the forums, but never in the chat.
Don't you think you could drop in there every now and then?
Most time I'm browsing the forums, I'm in the chat too^^
And what do you think about chatting on weekends?
Chareon
05-05-2005, 11:52 PM
Chatting on Weekends is good, because during the week I have to do homework, study, and other stuff for school. I usually do go into chat while I'm on the forums, but seeing no one there just makes me leave and go back to the forums.

Here in the U.S. most people tend to be on from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, and I noticed that P2 is also on at that time. People are usually off work and home from recreational activities, as well.
I'm headin off to Chat right now, to see if anybody is there =/

The chat got deleted because of too little activity. I just re-created it.
Please keep it alive this time.

So what times are you usually on? Everyone should post the times that they're on the most :) That should help us compose a list of Chat Times.
Isn't it like 10:15 or 10:13 over there in the Down Unda'
Please keep it alive this time.
I did, I logged onto it, but no one was ever there =/

Yeah, it's like 10:40 AM now here in Aus!! I normally go on randomly during day and night 'til 9:30 PM!!
Chareon
07-02-2005, 06:03 PM
So you're included in the 5:00pm to 10:00pm group (U.S.) which is around the same time as me and a lot of the other members. Most of the users aren't on from 8:00am to 2:00pm, so earlier times are a bust =|

XD
Don't worry about it :p I have convos with myself all the time, lol.
I wouldn't have been long anyways, I'm supposed to be working now.
But from the looks of it, most of us are in a 5pm to 10pm range, so maybe the times should be between 5 to 10.

I see...well, I normally come on the most on weekends, but I might come one during the weekdays since it's the winter holidays here in Australia, and that I'm also free from any school work!! :round:

Hmm, I don't know, I'm can ONLY be online right about 1-3 am in US (US/Canada mountain time).
Chareon
07-09-2005, 04:27 PM
Dude! I'm not even conscious around that time XD I still have my job, so I gotta get at least some sleep. I dunno if 1-3 a.m. is an option. It's kind of early. Is that really the ONLY time?
Conan Edogawa
07-09-2005, 09:16 PM
Yup, maybe when I purchased a DSL speed internet. The time might change, but for now, it's the ONLY time :p . That's why I go to sleep at 5 p.m everyday ^^.

Fast internet? Unfortunately I have dial-up, which is really slow and stuffy... :(
Conan Edogawa
07-11-2005, 01:53 AM
You forgot to mention that when you go on the internet, it's gonna take up the phone line (so no one can call in). That's why I can't go on the internet ALL the time. I have to go to my sister's house to use the internet (since she has DSL)
Chareon
07-11-2005, 01:53 AM
Yeah, a lot of our users have that problem, so its going to prove to be quite an obstacle. Maybe we could work something out, like 8-11 pm and 1-3 am, to suite those who come on at different times. I know that when school starts it won't be that easy.

comcast hi speed is the key to all your needs XD and if the call was important they could always call cell...
Conan Edogawa
07-11-2005, 10:01 AM
Naah, I don't like comcast, it costs to much, I was aiming for Qwest, much cheaper. And...I don't have a cell so... :(
corral
07-11-2005, 08:04 PM
i meant if you have dial up and it blocked an important call they could always leave a message or call a cell or something

Why don't you always enter the chat while you're online?
Most time I surf the net I've got mIRC open at the same time where I'm online at #PI.
Chareon
07-13-2005, 01:11 AM
Probably because some people can't do that, or they may not prefer to chat at the time while they are doing something else, since it can slow things down. I don't do it, because I'm usually busy, PMing(back and forth) to concentrate on Chat, or I'm IMing on messengers, and I totally forget about it. Since chat is mostly empty when I go in, I end up leaving after a while. If it were so easy, then we wouldn't need this discussion.
I could drop by now :3

I hope I'll find a hack which can display the users who are online in the chat.
I've seen it at other vBulletin forums so it should work.
