New mods coming soon!

Having 100 members now, I think it's time to get some new mods.
I'm going to take a close look at your skills in the next time.
If you haven't been that active on the forums yet, it's no problem.
There is still enough time to show me your skills :)

What should you do for becoming a mod:

Know all the rules by heart and follow them of course
Make long helpful posts
Be mature
Keep cool even if there are some people who are stressing you out
Don't ask for it
Be online very often
Be an expert on a certain topic
Be able to express your opinion
What I mean by that is, that your opinion shouldn't be dependent from the opinion of the staff or other people.
For example: If you feel there is something wrong with the forums, you CAN criticise them, don't shut up only just because I might say so (which I actually don't)


well, these are the most important facts, so if you behave that way, your chances for becoming a mod will be great.

heh I fall under most of those catagories, EXCEPT posting long helpful posts, and being an expert on a certain topic.... I will have to try to work on those my hardest if I want to suceed, also LittleRukario does have a pretty good chance of being a mod, because even when I need help I pm asking if he knows the answer or he pm's me and so he's really helpful to me, and I've also seen his posts there mostly helpful on certain topics.

My oppinion is that Corral deserves to have his spot back. Maybe not an smod, but a mod, I think that he's proven himself enough to be given such a responsibility. I may not have been here in the past, but from PMs, and monitoring posts, he'd do good.
Also, Black moonlight, is a good choice as well. Especially when you need the little things that make a big difference done. :D (I'm just making suggestions)
As for me, with or without a fancy title, I'll still be helpful and I'll still be Little Rukario :p

Well, corral was never a really mod so by saying that he should get his spot back, you mean that he's gonna get his spot has a mod on probation back. Well, I have some suggestions, I think that we should lose the stage of Mod on Probation, this stage really stress people out (like I did for example). I think that if pika nominated somebody, and liked him/her a lot, you should let him be a mod (straight) and if not doing a good job, de-mod him/her. I mean, mod on probation and mod are the same right? They have the same power. And the title mod on probation is somewhat make that person stress out in my opinion.

Being a mod doesn't mean that you have to post a lot, you just need to post helpful and useful posts. 100 of spam posts = 1 good post you know. And mods should read a lot of posts in the forum.

Oh, and I wanna suggest 1 more thing an "gonna be" mod should is look over all the topics and find the bad/spam posts and report to the mod/smod.

No we just mean that he needs to be modded again, or whatever you just said :p cause I got lost. I agree on the 'lose the probation' thing. Some people aren't meant to be mods or may not be ready to be onem so to let them go, and monitor them until their ready or just let them go period, will work =/
A little advice to those aspiring to be mods, most of the mods I know got modded doing 'undercover' work. Work that wasn't noticed by the members, but was seen by the admins. You don't have to be out in the open where everyone can see you :p just do your thing, and be yourself. :)

Well, to be fair, I think that everyone should get the same opportunity to become a mod. Even Corral :) , just from now on, be on your best and you'll see result, just because you messed up in the past doesn't mean that you'll now, just think that the game has been restarted ^^. Good luck.

Examples are:
Reporting many spammy posts or flames, that may be overlooked, but saying nothing to the person who roke the rules.
If you see that a member needs help or did something wrong, you don't call them out in the thread, but you do so through PM.
You help improve the forums, by doing some coding, creating special things, or pointing out things to the admins or smods.
Things like that^ It's called undercover work because nobody knows that you're doing it, except for those few people.
I know this, after talking to a few mod buddies of mine at SPPF and PC. They kinda layed it out for me and explained :p One of the members at my forums was good with CSS and helped out a lot with skins and templated and he reported a lot of posts, and was a good follower of the rules, so he was modded. None of the other members knew why, but I did :D
BTW, Kaitou, I said most of the mods I know. If you weren't chosen that way, then you're not in that catagory.

(no normal mod) and the 3 of them (exluding me and the admin) got modded since the forum got opened without doing any work, they're known as THE FOUNDERS. Only me, got to worked my way up and as I said, I've never done any of those "secret" things before. But it's prettty tight that you recognized those though, I can see your future is bright, keep up the good work :D .

They actually didn't have the same powers.
M.o.P. couldn'd see IP addresses and the staff's forums, while normal mods can.
The stage of M.o.P. has already unofficially been cancelled, because it's just pretty useless.

Yeah. Never reply to a thread and say some of the posts were spam. Either use the report button (which is actually more handy) or PM a mod.

There's something you should know. I group all the mods and smods together, so I don't really specify, so when I say mod, I'm also reffering to Smods. And I talk to mods, admins, and Smods, so I know. I ALREADY KNOW that there is no NORMAL mod here. Since there isn't a normal mod here I just call the Smods, mods. It's not to be rude....I just do it, unless requested otherwise(which I still probably wouldn't XD J/K. That, and I'm not reffering to any of the mods here....I already figured you guys out ;) Anyways, thank you for your blessings :D
