well, we've had a "which hacks do you want thread" and a "which forums do you want" thread, but I thought having a general thread for suggestions would be more useful.

So if you feel we could improve anything here, just tell^^

I know that you're busy Pi, so if you want I could work on some of the layouts and avatars :D Maybe some banners would spruce this place up as well. Like when people first visit the site, and they come to the page where it tells them to choose which forums to go into, they'll only take the bait if it looks appealing :p

I suggest that you add Custom Titles for all users, and maybe add Mods+ and Sub-Admins(A Super Mod with limited AdminCP access). I can give you a step-by-step guide to adding Mods+.

EDIT; I forgot this: You need a "No Bumping Threads over x weeks" rule.

I suggest that you add Custom Titles for all users,You can already buy custom titles in the shop :) and maybe add Mods+I know how to add mod+ but we don't need any mods like that. Plus I don't wanna steal ideas from SPPf^^ and Sub-Admins(A Super Mod with limited AdminCP access). I can give you a step-by-step guide to adding Mods+.
We already have sub-admins, take a look at the Forum leader's page, the group is actually called "Forum managers"

I think that we need we need something special, that the site could be well-known for. It seems to dull around here, IMO. SPPF has Serebii net, Bulbagarden has the Bulbapedia, and PC has its oekakis, community site/affiliates, and its reputation. PI needs something, and not just its multilanguage forums. What makes it different from any other forum? What makes us stand out? Most peeps just join, but don't even bother to stay, or they don't even finish validation, because they probably don't see a reason to stay or how staying here will be any different than another forum. Sure PI has nice members and can be fun at time, but most of the time users aren't even on at the same time, so what is there to do. We need something that will not only attract members, but get them to stay. If I wanted to go to a Hispanic Pokemon forums, then I'd just join one =/ International is good, but there's not many people who are on, or even speak my lingo. The fantasy dex would work, but we don't have it now, so we need to add something that PI could be known for. Most people I talk to never even heard of PI, but they sure can tell you about Serebii net or Pokemasters :eek: Even when I tell them about PI, they come see it, then...well they said something that I'm not going to repeat for the sake of common courtesy. They didn't cuss or say anything inappropiate, its just that oppinons can really hurt at times. So to summerize one person's statement, "So? That's it?" Which drew me to the conclusion, that people see no reason to really join, seeing as there are plenty of forums out there, that have a lot more to offer. Even if we don't have a main site, there are other things that we could have or do.

Anywho, thats all I gotta say, I already gave my suggestion for more members. BTW, have we affiliated with any good sites or anything? I see some at the bottum, but we need more well-known sites. Not the biggest ones, but some that get more visitation than these. Maybe Suta-raito, she's a good affiliate(although she does have some high standards).

Most of them have just a lot of people who advertise, other people just steal ideas from other forums but still get famous :/

Yes affilates are nice, but most sites don't like to affilate with forums only.

R2, R2, you underestimate me :) A lot of the would affiliate with us, you gotta ask and make a good case ;) As for most of those forums that are big, because their main site attracts people. Look at SPPF, if serebii net gets 18000 hits, then how many hits does the forums get hmmm? Not to worry, I got this :D I'll host the site myself, I already said that I'm working on it, I just need everyone to help out ^_^ We'll need guides, layouts and all sorts of stuff, so let's get that worked out.

If you look at those sites moer closely then you'll see the actual thing that makes them function. Their reputation, is most of it, and that doesn't come from just advertising, it comes from the things on the site. Now what is on PIF that makes it stand out, and that no one else has? It's all about being different :p

I'll host the site myself, I already said that I'm working on it, I just need everyone to help out ^_^ We'll need guides, layouts and all sorts of stuff, so let's get that worked out.

It just needs a workover.

I could've gave you the code for the layout that I did =/ Conan is good with graphics, so he could've easily spruced it up, and most of the users here knows zillions about Pokemon, so we could've been had guides. Yeah, I decided to make a graphics site, like Suta-raito. It'll still be like Pi, but only a much more futuristic layout :p It'll be called PIGraphics(Pokemon International Graphics). It'll attract more users since I'm going to have a bunch of backgrounds and avatars. So practically its PI's second site. I already get good feedback about my art.

BTW, the layout is okay, needs some work, but at least we have something right? :)
