Requesting for help

I am a new member in this wonderful site, and I've found many members are joined to groups. In order to this I want to know what I can do in groups and how I can join it?
I hope from every viewer to reply for this request.

Social Groups (http://www.piforums.info/group.php) are groups created by Members and/or Staff Members, you can also create your own Social Group, Social Groups can be about any title, be it Pokemon, Music, College/University, etc. However, there are 3 kinds of Social Groups (from what I've seen), those 3 are:
Public Social Group: Everyone can join the Social Group
Invite-Only Social Group: You can only join by invitation, the creator of the Group will choose whom to invite
Moderated Social Group: Social Groups Moderated by the creator, the creator can accept, decline and kick anyone from the Social Group

Group Memberships/User Groups (http://www.piforums.info/profile.php?do=editusergroups) these are (if I recall correctly) made by Staff Members (I think it's the admins who make those groups), these groups have conditions/requirements that you need to have fulfilled, here are the Usergroups you can join currently:

AustriaDex: Requests to join must be approved by a group leader.
Group leaders: pika2000

International Shinnoh Tournament participants: Requests to join must be approved by a group leader.
Group leaders: Umbreunatic, Sharp

^If you want to participate in the International Sinnoh Tournament, then join that Usergroup, if you want to know more details, ask the leaders ;]

International Sinnoh Tournament Jury: Requests to join must be approved by a group leader.
Group leaders: Umbreunatic

^As for this Usergroup...I can't really tell you what's that for, I don't know what the word Jury is xD;^

Giveaway Staff: Requests to join must be approved by a group leader.
Group leaders: pika2000

^That Usergroup is if you want to help in giving away free Pokemon/Items to members^
