Treat this as purely PI only. No one outside PI, most especially SppF, should view this.

But, wth, even if they do, I wouldn't care.

So here goes.

...

Well, actually, it's only one sentence, and it's targeted more to the SppF members of PI, most especially to the ones that know me.

Should I quit modding or not?

Sorry if I've wasted thirty seconds of your life if you don't give a damn. ^_^

Well, it's your choice, we won't force you to quit or stay, you are a good mod, and there are many good mods, too, SppF is getting spam-ish these days, so, it's your choice in the end, we can't force you to do something you don't want to do...

NOOOOOO! ;_;

I know I don't talk to you much, but DM, I know EXACTLY how you feel, and so do a bunch of other moderators (Sweet May, Medea, Erik Destler, to name a few). You feel that all the work you do goes unnoticed, and you feel less important than the other members of the staff because you aren't in Miscellaneous Discussion or you aren't spending all of your free time in the chat. It's why I went on a small hiatus from SPPf, because it's this sort of thing that angers me/makes me want to be demodded.

From what I've seen, you're a great moderator, DM. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If you still choose to resign, I don't blame you, (heck, I was even thinking about it myself - but I know my sections would go straight to hell) but I feel it's time that us moderators who feel unnoticed stick together, because [sadly] no one else is going to give a care about us. :\

(lol, first time I've posted on PI since...forever XD)

That isn't how I exactly feel, but the "you feel less important than the other members of the staff" bit greatly summarizes it. It's more on how I don't relate to virtually anyone in the mod forum AT ALL. At least you have Sweet May, Umi Mizuno, and all the other shippers, while most if not all of the rest are in one clique. I don't do shipping, and I'm not sarcastically bad@ss.

And I sometimes feel that I'm too lenient for modship...and leniency isn't really something SppF mods possess.

But I really, REALLY appreciate your response. You too, Inferno, but we already talked about this in chat. =P

You may disagree, but being the most influent people in the Face-off forum doesn't really fit "feel less important than the other members of the staff" ;D

You really made the forum better, and that's what the admins want when they mod someone.

Also, I really dislike the idea to have someone other than you to accept my Face-offs!

But now, giving up or not, it's up to you.

One more thing, remember about mine's and DCD's fight? ... well, one of those, anyways, I say that is exactly how you should be! I mean you think you are "lenient" but I say, you hide your "true mod powers" behind this. You can be tolerant while still being a good mod that disagrees, bans and infracts!

Hope I could help you to choose the best option ;D

I say, you stay!

Lol at me hiding my strict side.

It's just that I don't see moderation as being something you should be overly proud of. It's something you should be thankful for, and something you should handle responsibly and delicately, which is why I'm overly lenient compared to many, MANY other mods.

But, really, thank you.

I know I already messaged you in yim about it but meh =P

Honestly, even if you are more lenient than other mods, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Your section hasn't gone loco because of it, it's actually gotten better from what I can see (since I don't spend a lot of time in face-offs). Just because you're not like a lot of the other mods doesn't make you a bad one, just different =)

...

I never even seen you there :P

Maybe because I only post in the Pokemon Manga section(and the manga mod is gone), and in the Franticshipping thread.

It is your choice, like it was mine to stop modding here.(they didn't really need me anymore anyways, at least, thats how I felt)

Am I late? If so, poo to you. :P

I don't go to SPPF enough to know any sort of mod drama -- I could hardly tell you about the infraction system there -- but I work on one of the other large Pokemon forums, and I've seen this general thing before.

All mods should be equally important. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise D: If you feel less important than mod+ and above, it's halfway understandable -- they do have more power, and promoting a person usually means they've done well in their mod duties. (Usually.) But you really shouldn't let that get to you. That's less you have to deal with. :P

It's more on how I don't relate to virtually anyone in the mod forum AT ALL.
On a personal level or business-wise? If it's business only, having different opinions isn't bad, as long as it's for the right reasons. If you just aren't friends with them, I totally understand that. Don't let it bother you. In the end, if you have your friends, does it matter if they're all SPPF mods or just members?

At least you have Sweet May, Umi Mizuno, and all the other shippers, while most if not all of the rest are in one clique. I don't do shipping, and I'm not sarcastically bad@ss.
Haha, I knoooow how that feels, not being in that circle of friends 8D;; but I survive. It might hurt a bit sometimes, but I adjust. Again, as long as you have friends, and as long as you can get along with the staff, you don't need to be in the circle.

I also know mods where I work that that hardly ever talk to staff. I doubt they care if they know the rest of the staff or not. They're good mods, too.

To be honest, imo, I think it's a little silly to leave just because you don't fit in that well. I would've quit last weekend after realizing that, well, I'm not very close with any of the 'popular' staff on the forum I work on. I get along with them, I chat with them occasionally, but I'm not on MSN with them every night and really getting to know them. I don't need to be if I don't want to. I must not want to know them that well, because I don't start convos. :P

And I sometimes feel that I'm too lenient for modship...and leniency isn't really something SppF mods possess.
Pfft, leniency isn't a bad thing as long as you're doing the job right, I don't think. Then again, I'm a lenient mod myself. If you can keep the place under control while being lenient, good for you! I'm sure the members would forgive you ten times over for it. In the end, you work for them, not to impress your mod friends.

As for the staff, they can kiss your ass.

My two cents might not be worth much, but I like to believe it might help if you're still having a few doubts.

With that said, if you think it's best you step down, then do it. There's no use getting stressed out over the Internet. Just make sure it's not a spur of the moment thing, because you might come to regret it.

Thank you VERY much for all the advice guys. With that said, I decided not to quit modding for now...at least give it some time before I actually make my final decision.

I really appreciate everyone's advice - it was there when I needed it! I knew posting in PI was something very intelligent to do... =D

FTW. =P

Umm... Yes... And not to mention that factious on SPPF trolls, spams and flames as many members as he wants and he does'nt even get banned!

@ Cherished Song: Well, it's purely your choice... I say that you should'nt quit modding... I have seen your posts on SPPF and it appears to be that you are a good moderator.

You dont have to. I think that the forums need everybody to be alive and with the missing of a member like you, the forum will start dieing.
