Again, I crawled out of bed, onto my chair, behind my computer. surfing towards PI
what did my eye catch then?
it was horrible
disgusting
awefull
sickening

I saw, that there were NO new posts in the serious sections (pokemon forum). and it happened over, and over, and over, overoveroverover…

people, what's going on around here?! more then 1/2 of all post, no, more then 2/3 of all posts of PI are made in the offtopic and fun zone section!
offtopic is kinda fine with me, but fun-zone?! c'mon! saying hi to new members is what to do there! not posting everything you have in the forum games!

please! understand! none of the staff members, nor most members get happy of this! a pokemon forum is for discussing things about POKEMON, not for playing games.
there are way to much "spam" posts in the unserious threads, and way to less posts in the pokemon threads…

Off-topic is pretty logic, since it includes Small Talk, which is my realm. People come here, hoping to catch a glimpse of me.

As for the fun-zone, it's pretty obvious that people actually prefer playing silly games over Pokémon discussion:
1) This forum is lacking interesting topics. Understandable, for, what is there left to discuss about Pokémon? No one gets happy by the same old overused topics.
2) This forum would have died ten times over without the Off-Topic. The reason it is still alive is because of the friendships that were made. The feel obliged to post every now and then. It's some sort of a slow IM client. People use this to talk about their lives. Which is fine. However, just as in real life, sometimes you just don't want to spend much time with someone. It's a perfect excuse to just pop in PI, post in the 'easy thinking' threads and pop out again.
3) The staff should make it interesting. You seem to treat PI as perfect capitalism. That doesn't exist, it just doesn't work. If you want something to happen, do something about it. Take your own responsibility, don't give it to the regular user. But for the love of God, don't do overused topics.

3) The staff should make it interesting.
we're working on that. trust me.

but, eah, you're right, there isn't VERY much stuff to discuss about pokemon anymore, but there still are some good topics that can be used.
Every now and then I come up with one, or at least I try to…

I once remember participating in a thread making contest on here. It actually worked quite well if I recall correctly.

You should encourage members to make threads and posts in any way possible. Start holding posting and/or thread making contests again. Do anything to get some activity going.

You are talking right and at the first time I joined this forums I was only posting there, but what I have seen that reply for it is so rare and thats why I am trying not to be so much with that section
