How do you guys picture it to be?
Since people on SPPf are saying that it's only in America, it's most likely not gonna be wi-fi in my opinion as then everyone could access it...perhaps Toys "R" Us or maybe a movie giveaway like in Japan?

I don't care since I have a legit Movie Darkrai. :p Us Canadians won't get anything anyways, so I don't care. English is ugly. Japanese is awesome. YAYAYAYAYAYA!

I hope it's Toys R Us if it isn't Wi-Fi. I could actually get it, then. @_@ Although the movie wouldn't be so bad, either. The girls would pick on me if I got it that way, though D8 Ah, well.

If it's during Spring Break, I might just force my parents to go to the U.S. to let me get one. I'm pretty sure it isn't WiFI because PokeBeach reported seeing 'catch Darkrai' posters outside local Toys R Us stores. Pretty sure it's from the store.

Probably because the DS's WiFi is so primitive.

Primitive? They gave stuff away in Animal Crossing pretty easy. It doesn't seem that much different to do so with Pokemon. I myself have no doubt though they'd do it at Toys 'R Us because the universe hates me.

The only thing you can use it for is to talk to a link on the other side. Think of how many people Nintendo would be getting from all over the world. The WiFi would probably crash. :S
I agree that it works when you are using it for one specific person. But compared to the WiFi of the 360 and PS3... it kinda sucks. And it makes it harder for Nintendo. So I guess that's probably why they're going to stick with Toys R Us events.

Please correct me if I'm wrong

I think you're a little mistaken.

Animal Crossing was able to send packages and new billboard messages to people. Admittedly they'd have to have built in a system already to distribute event pokemon, but it would still be doable. Their system isn't the most advanced, but it's not as out there for Nintendo as you'd think. And since in Japan you just downloaded it in the theater I don't see why they couldn't have made it a one day only wifi event.

On the plus side, we're all learning!

True, but I'm pretty sure more people nowadays own a copy of Diamond than Animal Crossing. It's gotten more popular, and I bet Nintendo thinks that if they just stick every Toys R Us in the U.S. with a downloadable Darkrai event, they won't have to worry about anyone complaining. It's high time that Nintendo got off it's lazy ass and started making other countries happy. :( And besides, so many sites are close to confirming that it won't be a WiFi event, but rather an event the same as the Manaphy one-- possibly a 1 day event. But you are right, we are still learning. Who knows?

My thought is that people should stop hacking the stupid game and maybe Nintendo will give out the events. There's no anticipation to anything if places like Serebii ruin the locations of events and get people's hopes up.

What? No, there's next to no argument that it isn't going to be a Toys 'R' Us event. I myself would stake a lot on it. I'm surprised anyone would think otherwise.

And it's not a burden on Nintendo to send things out to people. There's no interaction of things, just the downloading of information. Just like the way Animal Crossing worked. They'd set the message or letter up and people just set their DS up to accept Wifi information, and you got stuff.

Yeah. I guess that's what both of us were trying to say. ...It would be cool if they made some Wii Nintendo events. But then again there's no point because most people don't own Wii's. Have fun at the Darkrai event... all of you American people.

I don't have access to a Toys R Us. So you're not the only one missing out.

A lot of people in the US might miss out. I know when I lived in Kansas, the closest Toys R Us was an hour away, and I'd never be able to convince my parents to drive an hour and look for the place for a Pokemon. D;

I could've done Manaphy, but I'd just been lazy 8D;;

But you know the NY people probably won't. XD Unless they're lazy... so I guess people (even in America) will miss out...

Which sucks, because there's a Toys R Us that's practically in walking distance near my house... T.T

It wouldn't suprise me if it went the same way as the Manaphy event.

I wouldn't be able to go anyway, my parents would have to drive for over an hour to get to the nearest Toys 'R' Us, and there's no way they'd do that again.
