It kinda looks...c/p on. :/
Well, it's a start but to fuse it properly, you have to think of colors outside of the box meaning you have to connect the shades.
For example, the Brendan and Mudkip fusion. The Mudkip tail fin should be in the hair as if popping out of it through the middle. You may also want to change components so the real sprites aren't so determinable in the mix.

What's the swimmer supposed to be?

Make sure everything's shaded correctly. The first one (the Latias/Latios couple) just has white and black on the legs, which doesn't make it look very good.

I like the Swablu gym leader one :) I like how everything's blue.

The swimmer is supposed to be a luvdisc but that is kinda hard to make...
