'Anything Afrikaans' Thread

Afrikaans is my home language, so I speak is fluently. (duh) It's only spoken in South Africa and quite different to anything else, except Dutch.

(yes I know you've never heard of it XD)

So if you want to ask anything about it, want me to translate something random, ask me here. :yay:

TBH, I have never really seen any sentences in Afrikaans, so I have no idea how the language "looks" or sounds^^

Could you tell me how to say "Hello" and "How are you?"?

I only knwo a little about Africa language, and it is kinda like the Dutch language, but only with weirder words and stuff :P
it looks like Dutch because much years ago, dutch travelers had a trading place there
