If you saw the announcement, you can start commenting about Pokémon here too, not only teams. I'm starting with Honchkrow, one of my favorite birds from the game, and using it because it seems an average Pokémon, but can annoy many people with their own mind.
Base Stats: 100 HP / 125 Atk / 52 Def / 105 S.atk / 52 S.def / 71 Spd.
If it had Murkrow's speed... Honchkrow with these stats can do some stuff, it's high HP balanceates the lack of defenses, but still fragile.
Sets:
~Prediction~
-Sucker Punch
-Substitute
-Drill Peck
-Thunder Wave/Taunt/Night Slash/Snatch
@Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
EVs - 252 HP, 252 Attack, 6 Spd
Ability- Super Luck
This set needs some prediction to be used (hence the name), Sucker Punch if you think opponent is going to Attack you, Substitute if you think it's going to Dragon Dance or anything not related to attacking moves. Since it's that slow, it's kinda risky, but if you do this right, Honchkrow will reward you. This Honchkrow (And probably all of them) is to clean weakened Pokémon with Sucker Punch, if you give it 248 Speed EVs you'll be able to outrun things with base 70 Speed or with 239 speed, like Skarmory, Breloom, Metagross or Ludicolo, but it's not reccomended. With 252 HP EVs you can make 101 subs. Seismic Toss are rarer now, but once in a while they appear. Last move was hard to select. You can Thunder Wave in a switch and this will cancel the lack of Speed. Taunt is good to combine with Sucker Punch, since opponent is forced to use an attacking move. That's maybe the best option, but it's better only use it in a Substitute. Night Slash can be placed there too. it'll have higher chance to critical hit and can be used even if opponent didn't use an attacking move. If you think opponent will use stat boosting move, you can Snatch, if not, Sucker Punch, that's a nice combination.
~Nasty Plot swepper~
-Nasty Plot
-Dark Pulse
-Psychic/Substitute
-Hidden Power Ground/Fire/Fighting
@Leftovers/Wise Glasses
Nature: Modest
EVs - 252 S.atk, 248 Speed, 10 HP
Ability: Super Luck
Honchkrow doesn't learn many Special moves, but it can learn enough to have at least a special oriented moveset. Bring this in a Pokémon that's trapped on Earthquake or Psychic, Nasty Plot on the switch and prepare to sweep. Dark Pulse for obvious reasons. Since Honchkrow doesn't learn a special flying move, Psychic can be used against Fighting Pokémon. Last move must be Hidden Power. It's or Hidden Power or Shadow Ball, since Dark and Ghost has the same offensive capabilities, you must choose for Hidden Power. after one Nasty Plot, Honchkrow will always OHKO Skarmory if it's Fire. Ground is for things like Magnezone or Rhyperior. Both can cover any steel Pokés, but prefer Fire. Speed EVs is to be faster than any Skarmory that can come in thinking it can wall you. Hidden Power Figting serves for the same purpose, hit Steel Pokémon, but it can also hit Tyranitar and Blissey very well, but not Skarmory with the same success.
~Perish song~
-Perish Song
-Mean Look
-Protect
-Night Slash/Dark Pulse/Drill Peck
Nature: Timid/Jolly
252 HP, 6 Defense, 252 Speed.
Ability: Insomnia
Maybe the weakest moveset, but can surprise many people. Prefer not use it against Pokémon that can U-Turn. Bring Honchkrow in a Pokémon that must switch out and Mean Look the uncomming Pokémon. Perish Song and then Protect the attacks that'll come to you. Seems simple, but with that poor speed, don't use it.
~Hit'n'Run mixed swepper~
-Drill Peck
-Night Slash/Sucker Punch
-Dark Pulse
-Hidden Power Fire
@Choice Specs/Choice Band/Life Orb
Nature: Brave/Mild/Quiet
EVs - 252 Attack, 252 S.atk, 6 HP.
Ability: Super Luck
EV spread I gave for the speed reduction natures, for Mild you can give it some speed while decreasing Attack. Weird moveset and having two Dark moves in the same moveset seems crazy, and yes it is. Pick up the item you find better for it and then keep using the move you see better for the ocasion. Hard to use this one effectively, but can work somehow.
Other options:
You can give it Mirror Move. An attack not very seen, but can surprise many people, you bring Honchkrow in a Pokémon trapped in an attack that won't hit you (Most notably Earthquake) and then use Mirror Move and use Earthquake with that outstanding base 125 Attack. It may hit things like Magnezone, Tyranitar that ocasionally switch when Honchkrow appears. Screech or FeatherDance are also options for the hit'n'run moveset, but you won't do a lot with these and it's poor speed. Swagger+Psych Up is risky, but can do something. A fact is: Honchkrow isn't a good pseudo-hazer or Hazer.
Opinion:
Many people don't know the potential this Pokémon carries. it's strong Sucker Punch can end with many Pokémon with half HP, if you're using it, try to set up Spikes or Stealth Rock then Sucker Punch is more likely to KO.
Counters:
Anything with Ice Shard, Mach Punch or Rock Blast are very likely to KO every moveset. If you predict wrong, Honchkrow is also likely to faint, since it's like Infernape, if it gets hit, it'll faint. the only diference is that in Honchkrow's case, that's even worse. Anything with high defense can easly come in and easly knock out, the mixed moveset makes this a little harder to do, since few Pokémon are expert in both defensive stats. Regirock (During Sandstorm) is Honchkrow's worst nightmare. So Honchkrow should only be used to finish with weakened Pokémon. this job, the big boss takes easly.
Some Pokémon to use with it:
Magnezone:
It's resistent to every weakness Honchkrow has and can trap the steel Pokémon that the first set can't touch. very effective Pokémon to switch.
Porygon2:
The defensive Porygon has some purposes. They're mainly use Trace to it's advantage. Pokémon that are likely to switch in Honchkrow are Electivire, Jolteon, Gyarados, Salamence, Magnezone, Skarmory, Milotic (Or any Bulky waters). Porygon2 can counter any of these (Besides Magnezone and special oriented Salamence).
Forretress:
Forretress can set up Spikes and/or Stealth Rock and take them off from your party. Not bad for the bird weak to Stealth Rock.
Ninjask:
Only to Baton Pass speed and who knows some Swords Dance?
And that's it! That's the first time I do something like this, so please comment, suggest more movesets and correct some stuff I did! Thanks for the attention =P
