Ratings in your country?

What are the "rating steps" in your country?
For example : only children who are 12 and more years old.

Here in Germany are this ratings :
withe - no rating (0 years and more)
yellow - there are some scary contents and some difficult tasks (6 +)
green - some agressive content, military, "easy" weapons, sometimes violents (12 +)
blue - shoot on figures who looks like humans, many weapons, wars, dangerous contents (16 +)
red - not for children and youths (18 +)

It depends, in US they have different rates for the games and movies.

All games in US are rated by ESRB, here's the rank in order:

EC: Early Childhood (3 years age + older)
E: Everyone (6 years age + older)
T: Teen (13 years age + older)
M: Mature (17 years age + older)
AO: Adults only (18 + older)
RP: Rate Pending (Waiting to be rated)

Rate for Movies:

G: General Audience (All Ages)
PG: Parental Guidance Suggested (~10 year age + older)
PG-13: Parent Strongly Cautioned (13 year age + older)
R: Restricted (Under 17 MUST have parents supervisor)
NC-17: No one 17 and under admitted

Then you have movies that are rated X or XXX but that's usually reffering to porno flicks. I hardly ever see those kind of movies.

In Australia is different, but very basic!! Here are the ratings for movies, shows etc.:

G General Exhibition (for all ages)
PG Parental Guidance (It is preferable for people under 15 to be accompanied by ab adult)
M 15+ Recommended for mature audiences; preferably for people over 15, but these days even little kids watch M stuff, but are accompanied by adults
MA 15+ Recommended for mature audiences; must be accompanied by an adult if 15 or younger [similar to M 15+, I know!!]
R 18+ Restricted for anyone under 18; adults only

The game ratings are similar:

G For all ages
G 8+ Recommended for anyone over 8; not younger (but who cares?)
M 15+ Games recommended for people over 15, and tend to be violent or rude type games
MA 15+ Restricted for anyone under 15; ages 15, 16, 17 and adults only

That's Australia's one. Seems similar to the other atings, I guess...
