Detective Conan/Case Closed?

Anybody heard of it? It's a story about a young detective boy who got shrunk by forced to swallowed a poisonous medician. From then he kept his identity secret and help solve VERY interesting cases of crimes like murders. This story is available as Anime and Manga, you should check it out.^^I got addicted. I got one of his pictures in my attachment to...refesh your memories if you've seen it or not^^. Oh, one more thing, on Manga, it calls dectective conan but on anime, it calls Case Closed in US^^.

Detective Conan forever!
I think it's stupid to call the anime in US "Case closed" because in all other countrys it's called "Detective Conan / Meitantei Conan". I love this anime, it's very interesting, you can learn something and the story is easy to understand (for me).

Oh gosh, finally, a detective conan fan^^!!! When I asked if people know who detective Conan is at others forums, I get tons of NO posts. Soo....who's your favorite character (besides Conan cuz everybody loves him^^)? Mine is Rachel (Some contries call her Ran).

Yes, Ran is nice, I like her fight-sport. But my favorites are Heiji Hattori and Kogoro Mori (<- he is stupid, and thats very funny).
I don't know the names in US-anime.

I like Detecktive Conan! I am a big fan to i had read all mangas that are to buy in germany.
My favourite Charackter is hmm Shinichi Kudo^^. I do not know the US name but i think it is the same one.
I must say i know that Conan is only very popular in germany and japan but in usa no no.

Conan is not just popular in Japan and Germany, it's also very popular in many Southestern countries like Vietnam, Laos, maybe Cambodia, maybe Korea, and China. For US's character names, I think you should visit detectiveconan.com (it got updated so it looks a lot better now^^). I think that the characters' name are the same in most countries but not in US. It's weird US always do things their way^^. Also, how many Conan Manga are there now? I stopped reading at 45 cuz I went to US and they don't sell those Manga or Anime *sad*. And I don't know why Conan Manga and Anime are somewhat different? I thought they do the Anime based on the Manga. But I think reading the Manga is much better because it shows some details of the crime that the Anime doesn't show so you can guess who's the murderer. In US, Conan is rated T (only teenagers above 14). I'm lucky I got to see the very last episode/book of Conan, and found out that the Professor (I forgot his name) is the boss of the "Black Gang" (is what I called it^^).

Here in Germany, the mangas are about 35.
Yes, US do often the same things (like Mr. Bush :D). The professor is called Prof. Agasa (in Germany). I don't know the exactly rate of Conan in Germany, but I think it's the yellow rating (children, 6 years and more) ore green rating (12+)

I have heard that in germany there are only 0years ore 16 ore 18 years by mangas.
Conan do not belong to the 16 or 18 one ;)

oh, cool. Ok, now for changing the topic to make the environment more "discussing", who you like? Ran or Haibara? Who do you think Shinichi will choose? Why?

Personally, I like Hai much better cuz she's has this loyalty coldness style. Ran, she's too much like a boy, a girl don't all day fight and practice fighting. I definitely think that Shin is gonna pick Hai, I think he thinks of Ran as a little sis that always attach to him and share stuff with him. For Hai, she acts like she doesn't need Shin but deep inside, she loves Shin and so is the same thing with Shin. Like vietnamese people liket to say, "more strangerer you are, more deeply you'll fell in love".

Why would you think Ran is only for Shin? I think Hai is the kind of girl that like "you don't follow me, screw you, I'm outta here" and Ran is like "Aww, that's so cute" and when gets mad she's like "Haya, have a taste of my Karate" and I prefer the kind of break up of Hai^^.

well, I quite like Detective Conan, but I just don't have time to watch it.
There are too many other shows I watch.
Not knowing the show well I can't say who is my favourite character...

You can read it too. It's on Anime AND Manga, I know a site where you can read it, do you want it, it's really good. And you don't have to watch it or read it in order. It's somewhat like pokemon, not the detail but the outcome, if you miss a pokemon show, you can still understand the story, so is Conan.^^

This show is one of my favorite animes :D I love everything about, from the plot, to the characters, to the animation/artwork, to the theme song. My favorite characters are Heiji Hattori, Shinichi, and Kaito.

About the Case Closed thingie, I don't know much other than my mom's friend said they made her make the title Case closed and changed all the names to match the anime in the US version. (She's the one who's translating it for the US)
I think you'll find it somewhere earlier in this topic. His real name anyway. Shinichi..... something.

And to anyone who's wondering, Detective Conan is one of the manga that I want to read but can't exactly get my hands on them or I'm too absorbed in another manga to read it. I mean, there's more than 40 volumes............
