Seeing as how the Naruto anime has "finished" and decided to continue to Part 2(which is what it's called in the manga)
The new seires that will showcase Part 2 is now known as:
Naruto: Shippuden
Which means (apperently) Naruto: Hurricaine Chronicles. Interesting name, no? It's named that for a good reason, not known to the anime-only fans, but for the people who follow the manga, including myself, knows why it's called what it is.
So, the basic plotline of Naruto: Shippuden is it takes place after a two and a-half year gap from where it left off. Naruto returns to Konoha from his training with jiraiya, determened to find Sasuke and to "save" him from Orochimaru before he becomes the next sacrifice of Orochimaru's "body transfer" jutsu.
Not much new here, just a slightly smarter Naruto, new Akatsuki members and whatnot. So far in the anime, we've learned that all of the rookie 9(except for Naruto) have been promoted to Chunin, while Neji and Kankuro are Jounin. and Gaara is none other than the Kazekage. While we see the growth of Naruto and Sakura. Gaara and the sand Village is attacked by new Akatsuki members. Enter Deidara and Sasori of the Red Sands.
Deidara has an odd ability in his hands to where there are mouths on his hands and that eats some "clay" he has and mixes it with his chakra, then molds them into "works of art" as he calls it. He sends them out and brings them to life ad at the right time. He explodes them.
Sasori is like Kankuro, he's a puppetier, just a much better one, to put it shortly. All that was shown of his ability so far is that he has a scorpian tail.
Now, to super shortin the plot from there:
Gaara is defeated by Deidara, Gaara is kidnapped, Kakuro goes after him, is stopped by Sasori, Sasori pwns Kankuro. A message is snet out to Konoha, Naruto, Kakashi and Sakura are sent to the Sand Village. they learn the werabouts of where Gaara was taken. they head off to the location. Tsunade sends team Gai to assist them. Team Gai run into Kisame and Team Kakashi run into Itachi and the fight begins.
For those who watch the anime feel free to discuss. if you're a manga reader, please don't spoil it for everyone who doesn't.
