What Starter Pokemon Did you pick?
I took Mudkip in Emerald,

I picked Mudkip most of the times (I have all games and I restarted them a few times), I only had Treecko and Torchic once. Mudkip I had at least 4 times XD

I pick Torchic most the time, being as I like fire types most and Blaziken just pwns the other starters evolutions.

I pick the Fire-type starter, but after a couple trades, end up with all the starters by the time I get to the first gym.

Torchic. No real reason though. I just decided to randomly choose it instead of the other two.

Red -First Squirtle, because my neighbour never picked it when I watched her play the game, so I wanted to find out how it is. I restarted the game and picked Charmander though, because I like it better.

Gold-Cyndaquil, because it's cute and its evolutions also rock.

Sapphire-Mudkip, even though, I don't really like its evolutions. I personally don't like the Hoenn starter's evolutions that much.

Diamond-Hikozaru, I liked its evolutions best and there also aren't that many fire type Pokémon in D/P before beating the E4.

Usually I will get the Water types. Seem to be the ones I battle best with out of the three.

I sort of have a tradition going on.

Red, Blue, Yellow: I chose Squirtle because I love defensives, and water types. It's also really cute.

Gold, Silver, Crystal: I like taking Chikorita. Again, it's the most defensive, and Meganium is probably my favorite Pokemon as well as others.

Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald: Definitely Torchic. It's not defensive this time, but Mudkip was never appealing to me. Torchic proved to be powerful anyway.

Diamond and Pearl: Piplup. I like the stats it has, and it's cute again. :3

So I started with water, then went to grass, then to fire, and I'm now back to water. :P

Fire Red : Squirtle 'cos it's cute and I like water types. :)

Sapphire/Emerald : Torchic first then Mudkip 'cos... they're both cute!

Diamond (When I get it) : Piplup 'cos it's cute and has a cool evolution.

I picked Treeko in ruby and bulbasaur in leafgreen. Grass pokemon always!

Red and Blue - Variation, usually Squirtle or Bulbasaur though.
GSC - Again, it varied, but it was usually Chikorita or Totodile.
RSE - Torchic, usually. I'd take the other two if I was in an odd mood.
Pearl - Pochama Piplup, because it's the only one I really like so far. XD
