Well, my parents used to always bug me, and they say that it only for kids and such. Hehe, and sometimes, they tried to make fun of me about it. [Which I find hilarious, because parents suck at making fun of their kids. xD] Right now though, they haven't really bothered me about it. Maybe because I'm not as into it as I used to be. :\

My mom thinks that anything from Japan-- [she refers to Japan as 'China' sometimes]-- is pretty much crap/not time worthy. So she's not against Pokemon itself, but to the whole anime/manga, Jpop music thing I'm into. Guess it doesn't really matter.

My dad, on the other hand, doesn't care.

My mother enjoys it. She used to take me to the movies when they were in the theaters and tape the episodes so that she could watch them. Her favorite character is Ash and her favorite Pokemon is Bulbasaur. She also enjoys the video games, leaning more toward the puzzle type games like Trozei! ^^;

My dad, however, really doesn't like anything from Japan. He once said to me, when I was listening to an American movie soundtrack, "At least it isn't that messed-up Japanese music!" So, that's his opinion on it.

My dad never cared, i think he thoug hof it as a Godsend, cause it kept me off the strets and away from the "bad crowd" I was hanging out with.

then again, when I got really into it:

My Dad in 2001: Why the hell do you keep wasting money on it?

My Dad now: You remember when you were into that pokemon stuff?

In fact, he thinks every anime is Pokemon/Yu Gi Oh :/

It's not just her, over 90% of Spanish speakers I konw refer to any type of asian product or person as "China/Chino" :/ Even my dad :P

My parents have never minded at all. In fact, I think my mom enjoyed it when we dragged her to the Pokémon movies ages ago. >D

They've never had problems with what we watch or play, ever. I guess they're cool like that. o.o;

They're pretty much fine with it. Not that I'm really into Pokemon that much.

No Idea, never asked them. I don't think they take much notice to be honest.

They think it is childish and they sort of want me to stop, not that they really try. But they keep saying things like, an 18 year old boy who plays pokemon.... (dots stand for shaking their heads)

My dad thinks the whole thing is childish. My mom, I don't know. She never once spoke about it.

My mom : She thinks it's just a game I play. She doesn't really mind.

My dad : He watches me play sometimes and ask questions about various aspects. Other than that, he doesn't mind.

They thik it's for children. Bleh. Who cares? But then again they don't care much for now, as logn as they don't see me fiddling with Pokemon stuff. Except for the TCGs though. They think the TCG is for children when it isn't... =/

They don't often talk about those, except when they're mad at me. Then they'll start "You don't know chemestry, but I bet you can say the name of all pokemon!"
But when I show my tests, they shut up XD

My mom could care less
My dad was really into playing Colosseum for a while...

Otherwise, they're fine with it yet. It's the kids in my class that seem to have a problem with that. But that's a different thread.

They have no problem, since I have a younger brother who likes Pokemon along with some friends who also do.

I am quoting myself since I have to change things. My mother finds it childish but sometimes (and really like 1 day a month) she just watch me play it for like a minute.

My dad sometimes watches longer, and he has also seen some videos of youtube (of pokemon battle revolution). But also he thinks that I am to old for the games.

I know this last thing it offtopic but though I think I don't have to make a new thread for saying what my sister finds of it. My sister allways keeps saying that pokemon is childish and she often says she is going to say it to other people.

My mom: She thinks the only Pokemon is Pikachu.

My dad in 2003: He thinks that it was just a video game I played (Like Mario, Sonic...)

My dad now: "Don't you think you're a little too old for that stuff?"

I'm only 12...

My Father and stepmother were a little worried about it when I was 13 or so. These days, they just pass it over. Mainly due to the fact that I have a job and buy Pokémon stuff with the earned money. My mother, though, liked it herself for a while.

I don't really know... I think they think it's weird I still like it at age 15, but they've learned to live with it.

My dad makes fun of it (he makes fun of all Japanimation), and just to spite him, I watch Pokemon in front of him every weekend.

My mom doesn't care about anything I do as long as I get good grades.

Oh, please. I'm 14, my parents couldn't care less if I still liked the Teletubbies.

As long as I get good grades, that is.
