Pokemon XD 6(/7) catched? (final battle)

I need to explain the title. I meant the battle with Grevil (sp?) he has 6(/7 if you count shadow lugia) shadow pokemon. My question is how did you catch them, one per battle, all at once?

I catched them all at once every time I played the game
