Contests or Gym Battles?

Which do you like to watch in the anime more? Contests or gym battles?

Personally, I enjoy contests more since there's more to it than just battling another Pokemon.

Well, Ive watched the Hoenn Series for nearly everyday for weeks, yet havent seen a Gym Battle and Ive only seen 1 1/2 Contests (Mays First and Phantom one)

I like both but for some reason i might say contests because as it says in the beginning of the game

"Some people use them for pets"

so theres more to Pokemon then battling

I prefer contest battles since Gym Battles are kinda getting boring. I mean, we see Ash battle ever since the beginning of the Pokemon series. Unlike now, we have a variety of both Gym Battles and Contests... ;D And Contests have appealing stuff to it... literally.
