As the way it stands, the real reason why the Earth appeared will remain unproven for many more years. The lack of evidence we do have and the small amount we can gather, humans can only really predict such happenings based of evidence given already whether this is true of false information. The very reason Christians believe it was God who created the Universe remains the only key belief, hence the Bible. From an Atheist view, the belief of Evolution etc still does not contradict with the belief of God as neither have any evidence to say they are true. Logical explainations can't really explain anything, this being as we currently don't know how big the universe actually is.

People tend to lean towards the thing they have been brought up to believe, but the majority will judge thier own beliefs on the creation of the universe as they get older, taking sides with the one that suits their beliefs.

And I am Atheist btw

Very true, although many athiests whom I have debated with tend to try and use logic against us. If it is not a basis for living then therfore their very existence is pathetic... well, from what they say. logic is how we interpret things, without it where would we be? I created this discussion for debating the relationship between the big bang and religion. Although many other issues fall into it, this is the theme at hand....... i posted this from my wii and it was so damn hard... lol

i will reply to any other points you made applicable through PMS

I try not to jump to too many conclusions these subjects, reason being I have no say on whether it is True or False. I am a great believer in the Evolution Theory, not because that is they way I was brought up but I made that decision once I realised what I found more logical. I am actually a Christian, but a non believer.

My belief on the creation of the universe doesn't fall into the subject of it just appearing, I believe it was always there which leads me to believe that time never ends. With the creation of Planets and the Earth, I believe they were created with some sort of gravitational pull that brough rocks together to form Planet. Kind of like the the Earths Rotational axis but with the forming of rocks.

I believe that the big bang did happen and formed the earth then Micro-organisms were made and after billions of years they evolved

ps. i have no idea where the micro-organisms came from in the first place

I believe in the scientific theories about the creation and progression of the Universe, but I also believe that it had to be "kicked off" by something, I don't see how a singularity or indeed existence at all should be here without a first cause. I don't know whether that creative force is God, but I believe there was something.

I'm an adamant evolution believer.

The problem I see with presenting creation as a theory is the purported relevance to a moral code set forth in the Bible. Many people are quick to maintain that the only way to appreciate such morality is to accept creation as fact. However, I simply do not believe that adhering to a certain lifestyle is worth a belief as to how the world came to be. I'm sorry, I just don't.

Big Bang is the scientist approach, and God created the world is the religious approach. To be honest, I think whichever one that is proved first is correct, since I'm agnostic.
