Well, once I was walking around in grass near Cerulean City in my gold version, and then I encountered a sleeping pidgey and only short time later a Jigglypuff.
Has this happened to you once too?
Should it be that way?

it should be that way.your suppose to wake it up.

It's just easier to catch if you meet a sleeping one..... You don't get to meet any frozen or paralyzed pokemon though :(

It happens rarely, but it does happen....... BTW, when you headbutt, the chance of a sleeping pokemon falling out is greater.......

No, but it does make them easier to capture.

was it nighttime? Maybe it it's nighttime, it's more common. I know that it's common to see Pokémon sleeping in the trees though ^^;

I have come across a sleeping Pokemon on my gold version before, it was at night ofcourse XD. I can't remember who it was though

Yeah its possible, G/S/C are the only games that made pokemon more life like. I found sleeping pokemon after headbutting trees.

Sleeping Pidgey and Jiggypuff?:confused::O_o:Maybe Gold has it's diffrences(sp?)...I played Silver.

I thought Gold/Silver/Crystal was JHOTO??!!Oh yeah,after you defeated Clair you get a train to Kanto.

most of the time their sleeping when you headbutt trees.But once i encountered a sleeping Heracross.
