and I love most the japanese songs
the songs in other languages are cool too
I collect the songs, I already have a lot of them!

Well, personally, I really don't like any pokemon music. The only pokemon music I listen to is the Pokemon Movie Theme Music. *Snip*. But I can only here them when they have the commercial on TV, does anybody know where to buy them or download them? Please help.

I think that he means that their songs should be a little more punkish, with more heavier(not vulgar) lyrics ^_^ I agree, the whole "We're so happy happy best friends" thing gets on my nerves at time too. They'd need someone like Simple Plan to sing their songs, who's not very punk, but pop rock, to sing them, though, Nirvana wouldn't suit Pokemon.

It seems that most of the Japanese pokesongs have less friendship and more challenge, deepness and bittersweetness than the English ones...... The lyrics are not heavy but kind of poetic, though....
Pokemon stuff got way too childish when they translated it.... Of course, that tends to happen with everything X_X

The anime... the Japanese music is good, but the stuff the dub makes... ugh, I don't like it that much. Especially if it's the songs that they put in the show itself (not the openings). It just doesn't appeal to me at all. o_o;

trust me, the raw (japanese) music is sooo much better... actually... if you don't believe me... listen to the new op called Battle Frontia sung by Akiko something... I forget... I got a 64kb version up... You also can listen to the nice Mew to Hadou soundtrack also... maybe change up your cultural aspects a little

Rika Matsumoto, GARDEN, Akiko <i forget the last name>, and some others have made most of the raw music... I mean... the original Pokemon Mastua, Challenger, and OK! were all sung by rika while glory day was composted by GARDEN and Battle Frontia was composed by Akiko.

But there are cool ones like some battling songs when you fight your rival or Gym Leaders. And there was that one song when the anime first came out. XD

XD I've always like the Pokemon music. In any language.
My favorite is the original Japanese... but I've heard all the dub themes in about 15 different languages... and I liked most of those too.
