Your mistakes when playing Pokémon

Did you do anything wrong when playing the games?
Had a wrong thought about something?

When I first saw the games, I thought the game had typos.
When I got the game myself, I found out that those were just abbrevations for the different status values xD

Moves like Leer seemed pretty useless to me, I thought they'd only be there to waste space.
I didn't teach my Pokémon any of them at first.

I taught Lapras Solar Beam without any reason and replaced it with mist once I had the TM, because I wanted to know

what the attack is like.

And I believed some of the rumors and the awesome cheats I found on the net.
I even wanted to try out some of them >.<

When I first started playing I used to attack with non effective attacks constantly, until I realised the strength of the different types.

When I started the pokemon games I only had Red, I started with a Charmander, and basicly from when it learned ember i only used ember, then eventually it became a Charizard and he knew these attacks: Flamethrower, Fire spin, Ember and Slash, so the moveset was crap.

Other faults I made, where that I thought that Forretress was a water pokemon and I thought it was the evolution of Cloyster.

I have made several faults, but I am not remembering more now ^_^.

When I first saw the games, I thought the game had typos.

My friend insisted that the trainer that said 'I saw your feat in the grass' was a misspelling of 'feet'. :p

I can't remember many mistakes right now. :/

Movesets were my worst thing.

When I was a young wipper-snapper, I had this Blastoise

Heh, I just remembered something stupid I did when I first played red version.

When I got the master ball, I was going to save it to catch my rival's starter (Blastoise). When I tried to catch it, you can guess what happened from there on. Lmao.

I used the Master Ball on a Kingler and thought nothing of it at the time.

and the biggest mistake i've ever done (even though it doesn't count as playing it) I let my friend borrow my Blue version with all 151 pokemon for some reason I forgot, and he erased my file. I was PISSED

I didn't know what true strategy was for competitive battling, I only used type advantages. Now that I've played NB, I know alot more.

Also didn't know about normal and sp. attacks, so my movesets were even lousier. <<;

Bad movesets are a major flaw in my battle style. >.> Some pokemon types really mess me up too. I always think that Gligar is a Poison type so I Earthquake it... -_-

-All STABed attacks on all my Pokemon (in fact, I still do that sometimes o_O).
-Using Masterball on Oddish in Red.
-Restarted my brothers Blue Version.
-Used Missingno >>
-Losing to Noland ONLY because I forgot Gengar had Levitate ability.

I did something so, so, so, very, darn stupid that all of you will make fun of me forever.

I used my Master Ball on a Ditto in FR. I was an idiot, a stupid noob at the time. Don't blame me. ;-;

Oh, and I didn't catch all the legendary birds. I killed 'em for exp. Also, because I was too frustrated with them to catch 'em.

At least my Blastoise got to level 91?

Oh, and I KO'd Ho-Oh on Gold because it was too annoying to catch, no clue what I used my Master Ball on, though...

XD Thank God it was all on a ROM...
