if you don't activate your account for within a month, it will be deleted.
you won't get an email before, because it's just too much work.

I have a question, I see that some forums doesn't require users to activate their accounts. It's already activated when they finished signing up. So what's the difference between mail activation and none activation? I think that no activation would be much better because some people want to join the forum but they don't have any email address.

Someone without a mail address? That's the Internet equivalent of a homeless person XD

on thje old forums some people were using a wrong or inactive email address which really pissed me off
if you don't have a real email, you aren't notified, when you get a Pm or some email from another member
I just don't like it if people don#t use a right email address
it's not much getting one, so I made this rule

Yea, you probably right. But what if they signed up with an email and then go back and change to an invalid email later? The forum allow users to change their email address right???

Signing up for a freemail and abandoning the address after they register is also possible.
If they want an invalid mail, they'll get it. The point here is they can't just fill in fake@mail.com and get away with it.

Well, Pika2000 said that fake email pissed her off, so if users just put in the email that they don't use, isn't it same as fake email???I mean after all, you can't contact them in anyway right?

No, but there's no way to prevent that if somebody does it

Ok, so the point is to force the person to check his/her email to activate the account to prove that he/she actually using the email address. Got it.^^
I think how it is , is it good ^^". Who actuelly do not want to give his or her rigth e-mail adress should do so and who not , not.

Like I said, maybe some people just register to advertise their sites by putting the link in the sig.
Such persons will be deleted by the mods.
The ones who like this forum will give the right and acktiv E-mail and i think thats are the posters. Who not will be deleted .

I think you should give mods the power to warn users^^. Like a note so the user can view it^^.

That's what PMs are for......

Well,I just think that sometimes people don't like to check their PM or what if they put all mods and admin on their ignore list so that they won't get any warnings? I'm just wondering though. This is off topic again, I'm sorry, I'll end now^^.

If you put a mod on your ignore list, you're asking for trouble...... Seriously, that's a crazy thing to do.....

I guess it's not off topic since En-Cu-Kou continued posted so I'm gonna join in...again^^. Anyway, people like to do crazy things you know^^, we can't prevent this from happening unless the admin get involved. Anyway, how do you know if you're on someone's ignore list?

you actually can't put a mod on your ignore list, so there would be no trouble
Anyway, how do you know if you're on someone's ignore list?
people would start to quarrel if they knew on in whose ignore list they are, so you just don't know it
