Gary returns?!

So, unless I'm mistaken, Gary may be returning. I thought he was going to be written out of the show because his Japanese VA was leaving? Although it appears he's coming back, and not only that but he's also getting an Elekible, or so says serebii.net (or atleast they're pretty sure of this)

Anyone have some thoughts on the return of Ash's rival?

Yea, Gary was the better rival I think. Even when he was being arrogant and not really strict in his battle style he could beat Ash. Focused he can kick him around even more.... atleast until Ash gets serious.

Although I do not watch the anime, I believe that Gary is here just for that battle, much like the one that led to Jhoto, afterall, Gary had already left for Shinou during the time Ash was preparing for his rematch with Brandon. Hence how he got the Elekible. Ash will lose and will go to Shinou(cringes) to get stronger.

Drew was only May's rival, and he's heading off to Jhoto, according to serebii.net.

Although seeing Gary again would be cool(then again, not, because I don't watch the anime, and Gary comming back is still not worth watching the anime again) I rather he still stay out the trainers life, like he said.

Well... I figured Gary would never be back, because supposedly the original (Japanese) VA was leaving the series..... either he came back or they replaced him with I guess they could do but.... then why not do that from the start? I mean it's not like he couldn't pop up every now and then....

I shouldn't be saying "was leaving", as he left.

Gary was only there for that Shieldon episode... God knows what happened to him now. He'll be back for the final Sinnoh tournament, I bet.
