PI's future

I am currently thinking what to do about the forums.
My problem is, that nobody likes to join or post and the different language forums don’t seem to be a good idea.
I have to create the same threads at least 2 times to let the different language forums be equal-at least a little bit.
A result of all this stuff is that -the forums just bore me.
I already have more fun when I post at other forums and I’m just bored when I am at PI.

I already thought about PI’s future and started making decisions:

1. I want to close this forum here and use my vB license for another forum about Pokémon (which will be only in english).
2. PI will still be there but I’ll use the old forums (http://58112.rapidforum.com) again. I will add a new style and new hacks to it.

So what do you guys think about it all?
Please give me an answer to this and help me making decisions!

It's true that the forums here are slowly dying.....
The problem with option 1 is ... what would be on the new forums? How will you make it any different than here?
And using the old forums? What difference would that do?

they wouldn't be multi lingual anymore, they would only be in english, which would make the whole thing a lot easier to handle (at least for me)

I don't think the old forums were bad and it was really dumb to think a vBulletin board would make the forums better. The popularity of forums should depend on their content and not on their software.
I also want to use my vBulletin license for another board.

the english subforums are all visible on the main site and the german ones become a subforum of other language talk

what do you think about that?

Huh? What exactly would that change? Wouldn't you still have to moderate the German forum? Or is there another reason besides too much work moderating it?

I think, it isn't good to make every half years any new forums.
The different languages are good, I think so German people can talk with peoples from other countrys in English, so they can brush up their English.
If you don't want to moderate the German forums so you can give it to a new team if you want. But it's just only an idea...

I maybe will reorder it a bit and make lots of new hacks and styles
