What is Netbattle?
-Netbattle is a program for battling with Pokemon online.
How do I get it?
-http://www.smogon.com/nb/download/ is the safest place to download it from. There are other sources, but Smogon is the safest one.
Is it free?
-Yes, downloading it is free. It's a fan-made program.

In-game
a. Building a team
I downloaded it. Now what?
-Start it and go to 'Team Builder' on the main menu and create your team.
Don't I have to train/catch any Pokemon?
-No. There is no RPG element in Netbattle, just pure battling. Choose your Pokemon's nature, IVs, EVs, level and moves. Once you're done, save it.
b. Battling
How do I start battling?
-On the main screen, choose 'Start Battling'. A list with servers will come up. Choose one of them and you'll be able to battle anyone in the one you've chosen.
But the list didn't come up!
-You might have to wait if your internet is slow. Usually, you will have to go to 'Start Battling', wait a few seconds to see if anything comes up. If nothing happens, go back to the main screen and repeat.
There's an easier way though. Each server has a name or IP address, that you may enter via the 'Advanced' button while in the 'Start Battling' screen. The Smogon server name is 'nb.smogon.com'. It is recommended because most of those online will be in it.
