It about 1:30 pm here. We had a thunderstorm a few hours earlier. Also had one yesterday. I remember when I went to Austria a few years ago, we had violent thunderstorms everyday.

I remember back in the summer of 2000, we would always get thunderstorms. Sometimes, they knocked our power out, but it was no big deal. I would just sit in the living room with a flashlight and start writing until I got tired, or until the power came back.

During the Summer here, there are often violent thunderstorms. The thunder usually sounds like a nuke going off. Never had a power cut here because of them IIRC.

Every day over here when there's been enough snow to have school cancelled, I would've been out of school that day anyway. It rarely snows that much though. The biggest snowstorm recorded in Britain was about 60 odd years ago. The snow was still lying around for a couple of months afterwards.
