Does anybody here really think religion is involved in Pokemon? Should just symbols of religions your country doesn't like be a reason to ban something? Especially when the symbols don't even represent religions. When did you last go "Oh, the normal type pokemon have a star in the corner of the card, so they must be Jewish!"? Apparently you can't draw a triangle in that country because it's a masonic symbol. Judging from the quote in the article, even buying something is apparently bad because it's a form of gambling.
But oh well, I guess there's no mention of Pokemon in the Qur'an, so it must be wrong. I'm sure glad I didn't happen to be born there.

That sorta sad, cause Pokemon was pretty popular over there at one point.
I have a few Arabic opening themes on a Pokemon CD. xD

But, its good that they banned it if its gonna cause problems...

Of course there are Arabic openings, but they are not only speaking Arabic in Saudi-Arabia. I don't think that is it also banned in Dubai or the UAE.
