Pokémon evolutions you never really understood.

I don't get how Remoraid evolves into an Octillery (spelling?). It's two completely different species. .___.; Another is Slowbro. The pokédex says it fishes for a shellder to clamp onto it's tail and that's how it evolves. But the shellder looks completely different. I dun get why the shellder looks like that when it clamps onto it's tail. If I can think of anymore I'll post them later.

So, is there any evolutions you never really understood?

Another WTF I've thought of is Dragonair evolving into Dragonite. Seriously, how can something so graceful looking evolve into something that's all...Barney like?! D:

Fish and Sharks are pretty similair, so Nintendo probably just made Carvanha evolve in Sharpedo. It makes a lot more sense than Octillary and Remoraid, I can tell you that. XDD

The little bits forming a bulb bit at the end come down, and grow roses at the end, forming Roselias arms and hands. The body elongates, and changes colour. Its head is essentially the same, except for colour, and it grows thorns.

The Trapinch line are based on Antlions. Here is a quote from Wikipedia explaining this evolution

The adult antlion has two pairs of long, narrow, multi-veined wings in which the apical veins enclose regular oblong spaces, and a long, slender abdomen. Although they greatly resemble dragonflies or damselflies, they belong to an entirely different order of insects

Poliwhirl to Politoed doesn't make very much sense to me. They should've left the Poliwag line alone, and create a whole new line of green toad Pokemon for Politoed to fit into. Besides the swirl in the center of their stomach, they look nothing alike.
