[English] New Dub Voices

WB aired the special today, with new VAs. (Don't discuss the episode there, make another thread for that. ^^; )

What do you think about them? Please don't flame in your answers.

I saw a clip of the episode. I didn't hear Max, Brock or May, although I heard they were pretty bad from some people. I hope to hear those voices soon.
Personally, the voices I heard made me want to cry. ;; They were so off. Ash sounded too old to me, and James and Meowth were too off for me to get used to. Jessie and Misty were okay, I guess. They weren't as off. ._.;

Well, I haven't heard the voices, but from what I heard from otehr people, May sounds like a 40 year old. And that they keep saying Pokamon, instead of Pokemon. But, I wish I could hear them somehow. . . Bleh. I'll have to wait 'till the torrents. =/

It was pretty bad, so I watched only the first few minutes.

There horrible they killed Pokémon and yeah May does sound a lot older. Ash was just horrible he didnt even sound close to him the rest lets just say they suck!!

Jesse is the only one with a passable imitation voice. It was horrible, Brock, May, Ash, Misty, James, all had laughably bad voices.

And did they re-dub Pikachu!? How stupid is that? 4Kids only smart move was not re-dubbing pikachu... and Nintendo went and jacked that up

My sister recorded the episode and I saw it.

Ash's voice has completely changed from what I remember. It reminds me of Richie's voice...anyways, it's sounds kinda...ugh. .__.; Brock's sounds really rough and different. Misty's sounds almost the same. May's voice is probably the one that changed the most, it sounds like a much older person. Team Rockets voice's were okay, but the only one that sounded kinda bad IMO was James. He just doesn't sound like the same funny character anymore. )=

I don't think the voices were all that bad like people said, but I think the one that really needs to be changed is May's voice. She sounds way too old. xX;

I haven't heard the new voices yet..but I would expect them to make them atleast make them sound a little older..if you take how long it's been going...and add a year for the 10 years it's been going on..Ash would be 22 lol

And yet he doesn't look much older then he did at 12 =/

the new dub voices... really, just to put it bluntly, suck. They don't sound even good, or even close to the old voices!

Ash: Sounds... terrible. He has a scratchy and ugly voice. He reminds me of Goku (don't ask)
May: Too mature, she sounds... really... bad...
Max: -_-;; very bad...
Brock: Sounds like a drunk old guy, to say the least. I'm sorry if that sound mean, but that's what he reminded me of...
Misty: She sounds, now, as young and not even mature for her age... and she has a screechy voice >< I hate those voices...

i honestly stopped watching it for this reason. All of the voices sounded horrible. None of them sounded like themselves. Brock was just horrible and the worst one out of the group.

Ash: When I first heard his voice, I almost mistaked him as Luffy, dubved version. He was a combination of Luffy along with Ritchie. The way he says, "Misty" isn't the same anymore. It sounds more like, "Mist-ay!" Ugh. >>

Max: His voice was okay, but it didn't sound like a little brother anymore. .__.

May: This voice I came to despise, and her voice tortured me. You can admit that she sounds far too old for her character. It sounds like an old woman to me. >>

Brock: I'm sorry, but his voice was completely unsuitable for him. He now sounds like an old pervert. .__.

Professor Oak: Dear lord, no! They ruined this voice as well. It sounds a lot like the episode where James imitated his coice. That's how he sounds like now.

Jessie: She sounded okay to me, but I liked Rachel Lillis' voice more.

James: His voice was okay as well, but there's oemthing something about it that I don't like.

Misty: Her voice was okay. I didn't like the fact that she doesn't sound sweet anymore. Still, I found her voice to be the best. I miss Rachel Lillis's version... ;;

Put easily, they suck. They're the worst voice actors for the job and have no feeling in there voices and are probably the first things that the assholes of PUSA saw on the street.

Brock:Simba from the Lion King, just not gonna cut it
Meowth:Maddie was my second fav. VA, and she's better then this new imposter will ever be

Let's just hope we don't get screwed over by PUSA when D/P anime comes.I really hope Drew doesn't suck like Harely.

May doesn't sound 30 years old anymore. I like the new May second to the version used in the american AG preview... Then Taylor redid her lines...

The voices of May and Ash haunt me... They mock me... They make me try to forget Pokemon... Save the voice actors, people.

The voices have been amazing this season, they are all ten times better than they were in the first Mastermind special. A few of them are even slightly better than the old actors even. And with the rest you can hardly tell the change.

This voices in that episode felt strange since I've been used to the old dub voices for sometime. Ash and Max were okay, but the rest didn't seem to fit the character. Although, given the time, I'm sure I'll get used to them soon enough (that is, if I ever get to see the newer episodes).
