Sites
Which sites will be accepted as participating sites?
How popular do they have to be?
Requirements:
Topic: Pokémon, Anime, Nintendo or gaming
A decent layout (a layout which doesn't load too long as well as doesn't hurt someone's eyes; self-made layouts preferred)
Some content (self made!)
Regular updatesThe most important thing is that the site owner is putting a lot of effort into their site.
The site doesn't have to be big, everyone should have a chance to enter.
Participating Site Advantages
Which advantages/rights do PS Owners get?
A forum about their site and the rights to moderate this forum (you start as a modertor, since I need to find out how much I can trust you, you'll be promoted if there is a reason)
Access to the participating site owner's staff forums
A word in important decisions all around the forums
I add hacks if there is a reason to, I maintain the forums, I update them, I backup them reuglarly, there is nothing you've got to worry concerning forum maintenanceIf someone is doing a great job, they might be added to mod other forums or get some more rights as well as when they need them.
However, this is a decision of the other staff members and if you ask for it, you'd ruin your chances.
What do Participating Site Owners have to do in return?
In which way do they have to support the forums?
They have to do their best to keep the forums active, which they can do by
Putting up the forum link to their site (is a must)
Avertising a lot
Posting a lot themselves
Coming up with good ideas for the forums
Referring many peoplePSOs shall be a part of the forums. We give you the forums. You should give us support in return.
Participating Site Rules
Are there any special rules PSOs have got to follow?
Come online regularly
If they decide to affiliate with a second forum or already have got one, they have to support PI at least in the same way as they do for the other forum
Never ever put stolen content on their site
Be as active as possible
Keep me informed if you plan to get another domain for the forums, this isn't me being obesessed with something, Jelsoft has just got weird rules concerning that fact. However you are NOT allowed to redirect an URL to only a certain part of the forums, because that's against the vBulletin license agreement.
Particiating site owners should post in decent language (no complete n00b language)Rule "breakings" and consequences
What will get you "fired"?
Stolen content on your website
A long period of inactivity without informing us about it (if you've had a real reason why you've been away, you won't be fired)
Breaking the forum rules (DUH!)
Not updating the website anymore
Removing the link to PI from the site (only if it stays like that for a longer time)
