I am able to see JSTV (japanese satellite television), but it's locked most of the time and it doesn't have much interesting there.
I receive it with a digital receiver from the satellite opertor (do you call it that way?) Hotbird.
Yeah. That's cool.
I've searched for this, but if you want to see at the whole time you have to pay for it. I'm only permitted to see programs from ASTRA operator, because my parents didn't want to watch some foreign tv-channels, because we don't understand all.

I don't even know how to get a foreign country channel. If I do, I probably won't do it cuz I think it might be too expensive. Besides, I don't think I even want to cuz I won't be able to understand what they saying. ^^
I watch sometimes foreign tv-channels, most times in English because I can understand english (a bit ;)) there are enough german free-tv channels, but I want to see japanese TV because the new animes.

Does it cost a lot to get other countries channel into your TV?
I see, you are banned but I can answer to the question..
The most people in Germany / Europe don't have a cable-TV. They are using a sattelite service. You only have to pay for the sattelite equipment and can watch all Free-TV channels you get without paying anything. So, the sattelite network in Europe is very big and we can recive many channels from foreign countries for free.
Some months ago I was able to recive an chinese channel for free, with original japanese anime but because an power outage, the sattelite reciver was reseted and the chinese channel wasn't there anymore...

well, here in California, we get many foreign channels, however, they are actually random foregin shows, there could be a japanese game show on one minute, then kick into a chinese news show the next.
and the anime that played on this channel were old animes, but were good ones at times. Then they played Evangeleion too much and I got tired of that anime real quick
But there is a place in San Francisco where I can buy a japanese sattelite and get all Japanese channels (seeing as I study Japanese this could somewhat improve my skills, but, do I really want to pay for some channels i'm not even gonna see?........no)

Now, I can recive a Korean channel, its called "Arirang TV". It's a quite interesting channel and most shows are broadcasted in Korean with English subtitles or only English.

I wish the Japanese show I get have English subtitles.
