Well, I'm wondering.
There are many viruses going around by mail right now and they seem to be very popular.
Why?
Although people are informed about it, they still open those mails and the attachments in them.
That's just stupid.
People should already know what that means, but it doesn't seem so.

Some of these mails appear to be sent by Microsoft or something like that and people fall for them.
But can't they just use their common sense?
I'm 100% sure Microsoft would never email me unless I've requested it, so it's quite sure where this email would come from.

Can anyone tell me, why people still fall for this?

Because they don't have common sense when it comes to their computer. o_o; I mean, some people just don't get computers, so they open that kind of stuff.
Either that, or they don't have the right kind of protection. *shrug*

A lack of common sense... and pure ignorance, I think.

Recently, I noticed I had mail from a friend of mine, but it was written in English using unnatural phrases. I know that this particular person can barely string together half a sentence when it comes to English, so my first thought was that it was a fake. And I was correct, too. The attachment was called "Important documents" and the extension was .exe -_-. Seriously, what is the world coming to?

LAtely I've been getting weird ones, like "Claim my dead husbands cash and I'll give you some!" which are "oddly" enough very very large, with attachements...

it's just stupid...

I don't get spam....maybe it's because about 4 people besides forum software know my email address.

I wonder too. >_> I don't remember ever believing a spam mail. Tho it gets freaky when I get a message saying my account's gonne be suspended. o_O;
I think it's funny when I get mail from eBay, Paypal and Amazon - I don't use PayPal nor amazon and I am signed up for eBay with a different e-mail address.
They want my credit card details. I don't have a credit card! -_-
