Alright I just recently found out ( 2 minutes ago) that pokemon can have a disease called Pokerus what is it you ask? Well it's where your pokemons stats go way up aswell as the CHR (Critical hit ratio). What really amazed me is when i put the infected pokemon in the Pc it spread making multiple pokemon have it, How I got it? I dunno my guess is when i was walking around battling it appeared O.o or when I traded it or something, do not worry however because it's a natural thing in the game and cannot cause it to freeze, if you need to see what it looks like go to the summary page of any of your pokemon, then where it usually says the status under it's pic it will have a purple box that says RKRS (pokeRus).

I actually didn't know that it brings up your critical hit ratio. Thats something that I actually learned! Thanks! The only thing I knew is that it raised your stats higher than it normally would.

K I found out more about it here's what i found:

Pokerus was first introduced in GSC, percieved by some to be a glitch to crash the game it in fact is beneficial for growth of the pokemon. In GSC if you got Pokerus your pokemon would get double the EXP at the end of the battle, now in the GBA versions it raises stats, and EV values, thus if you level you you get more stat points. In order to get Pokerus you battle a pokemon (any) and your pokemon will randomly catch it. Sadly however like the real world it has an immune system(o.o) if your pokemon gets it once they can't get it again, but if you catch a diffrent of the same pokemon it's ok, another way to know if you have it is to take it to The pokemon center and have the nurse tell you. (I don't because she gets rid of it for you ._.) the virus even if not cured will remian for 3 days. Another odd note is Pokerus cannot spread to Unknown or ditto.

There ya have it I stayed up 7 hours last night studying it, and noting the possibilities.

Where did you learn that it increases Critical Hit ratio? I've read a lot of stuff on these things, but I never saw that mentioned.....
BTW, it doesn't just make the stats go up higher instantly, but rather increases the rate at which the stats go up (doubles EV gains, to be technical)....
Also, Pokemon recover from the virus quite fast unless you store them in the PC. After they recover, they are immune (can't get the virus again), can't spread the virus to other pokemon, but still get its effects. To show it, a small dot appears on the Stats page.
And how to get it? Apparently, it spreads in a random fashion when you battle against an infected pokemon, or have an infected pokemon in your party. A very, very small number of wild pokemon are infected. I don't have an infected pokemon for research yet (I'm getting one for Christmas, hopefully), and thesources are a bit vague/conflicting on this one, so it's likely I might be off on the spreading part.....

-.- I just posted some of that En-cu-Kou about the Ev's and whatnot, but yes your right, and are you sure about the pc thing? i put one in there and my pokemon beside it was infected..... it might have already been there but still.

Then stop! Now back to topic, i also found out that I was wrong, Pokerus didn't originate in GSC, it did in green! I stayed up lat night seeing if I could find it on Red/blue/yellow/green, and i learned that if you trade an infected pokemon from GSC to RBYG it will still be there in RBYG! I did it with a lapras, and I checked its RBYG status and above the box where it shows it's moves was a symbol 'PR' that's not on my other pokemon, I battled with it and it leveled up 2 times due to the 2x EXP.

If it originated from green version then don't you think that PokeRus can come from pokemon that are from R/B/Y. If it shows the "PR" symbol in R/B/Y then PokeRus should be originated from those versions.

Actually, it doubles the amount of EV's you would normally get. It doesn't raise the status.

And you'll know when you're Pokemon loses pokerus when you see a small dot appear next to the pokeball, in thier profile thingy.

I've never gotten PokeRus, but I'm not surprised since it is rarer than getting a shiny Pokemon. Tbh, I'd rather visit Mirage Island.
