Ash's face looks... long? o_O But Pikachu looks great =)
And Max looks like a teenager (but I don't think there's a problem with that XD)

I love your shading on all of them ^^ (except Grovyle's lack of shading on the leaf blades is kinda weird). I think that's your strength. Or maybe that's just me ^^;;

Really? I actually thought that pikachu looked...I dunno...like...'not pikachu' or something :P As for Ash, yeah, usually when a person ages, their face gets long since they lose their babyish appearance and their bones and muscles are developing. I think I read that in one of my art books XD

Hmmm...maybe Max could be around 13 I dunno. He kind of reminds me of Joe from digimon ^^; I think that's the idea that I hda in mind when I was drawing.

Thats exactly what I was thinking!
Anyway, I love your shading. Its so simple, but it works so well. I tried to do a pic like the ash one, with pikachu, but I got the proportion all wrong. Pikachu was all tiny. Like Hamtaro. So well done.
