Hey guys its Chareon again :D
This time I've go some good news for ya. We're moving on with the FantasyDex project and we've also decided to implement another project codenamed the PFL :p but that's neither here or there ^^;
What I've started this thread for is Fan-made Pokemon Submissions. We're now accepting submissions for the Fantasydex :D Post whatever Pokemon that YOU yourself created and breathed life into. Now they don't have to be perfect, there's no such thing as a perfect fan-made pokemon, so if you're not a good artist/spriter and you don't think that you are, don't worry because no one's better than the other :)
Guidlines for posting your creations:
1. The Pokemon has to be one that you created
2. You can take a pokemon and completely recolor it (a different color) if you don't think that you can create another Pokemon out of thin air, but don't take a charizard and edit only two colors (like red and yellow) and call it super fire Charizard. No.
Here's an example of a good recolor:
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y247/Teh_Char/charley.jpg
Be creative with the look and design. Like take a Pokemon that's an electric type like Pikachu and make it a dark type, by changing it to sute its type. Which may involve getting rid of some of its more distinguishable features.
Here's the Format of how you should post:
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y247/Teh_Char/charley.jpg
-You should Provide a picture of you Pokemon.
Name
-This is up to you. Your name can be whatever you want it to be. Just try to make suire that its a creative name and not something like 'Hyper Flame Charizard' or 'Lightning Pikachu III'. The name doesn't even have to be a Pokemon name, it can be a name from a different language, the name of your pet or whatever. No grotesque or lude names, or fowl words, be mature about this.
Type
-This is simple, just submit the Pokemon type that your Pokemon is. The types are grass, fire, water, ice, steel, electric, psychic, fighting, ground, dark, rock, and normal. Your pokemon may also be a double type like fire/flying, if it borrows characteristics from both types.
Level
-No this does not mean your Pokemon's level, it actually refers to the level that your Pokemon can be obtained or the Trainer's level. Certain Pokemon require specific needs due to their unique abilities, complicated manueverability in battle, personality, or overall power. You can't expect a beginning trainer to automatically be able know how to utilize a Aggron in battle and use its stength to the fullest to cover up for its lack of speed, or how to use a pokemon that has characteristics of both flying and dragon without getting iced by an ice type. The Level of acquisition just refers to what level a trainer should be at before he/she is able to attain and handle that Pokemon. The level should be based off of abilities, personality, and habitat. Levels range from 1 to 5. 5 being the highest.
Ability
-Every Pokemon has an abilitity. Taillow has guts and chichou has its shock asorbing abilities. It should be something that you created, something that makes your Pokemon unique ^^ Now, I am aware that some pokemon share the same abilities, so if you see an ability that someone else has and you like it and go "Hey! That really suits my Pokemon, I like it" Then ask the person if you can use it, and you may apply it to you pokemon. Be reasonable when you create your abilities, don't do something like 'Blocks all electric attacks' and your Pokemon is a plain water/flying type, IF you were to do this then you'd have to provide a logical explanation as to why.
Evolution
- Does your Pokemon have any evolutions? If it doesn't then put none, but if it does, then post their names and pictures. You have to submit all evolutions that you Pokemon has.
Habitat
-Where does your Pokemon like to live? Where can it usualy found? In grassy regions, in hot climates, or in the dark depths of the ocean? Tell us where your Pokemon can usually be found and where it likes to live.
Personality
-Time to utilize your adjectives :D Tell us what your Pokemon like. Is it quiet, timid, or caring. Its personality, what makes that Pokemon that Pokemon.
Also include:
Likes: what does your pokemon enjoy doing in its free time or during battle. It can also be its hobbies.
Dislikes: Simple. What your Pokemon doesn't like.
Description
-Go more indepth. Tell us things outside of its personality or elaborate a little more on its behavior. Specify any special features, or things that trainers need to know. It it agile and quick, can it run/fly up to high speeds? Or is it slow moving, but had a great defense? Describe your Pokemon.
Size
-The size compared to a human. You may use centimeters or inches and foot. You should give weigth and height. For example, your Pokemon may be:
Height: 5''11 or 180.34cm (whichever system you use)
Weight: 200lb
If you pokemon is a rock or steel type, then it'll probably be heavier because of its mass, or it can be heavy because of its enormous size.
Here's a sample entry:
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y247/Teh_Char/dragoon.jpg
Name: Kouryuu (which means 'rain dragon' in Japanese)
Type: Water/Flying
Level: Five Badges
Ability: Immutable- Stats are unaffected by climate or climate-changing attacks
Evolution: None
Habitat: Likes to swim in deep, dangerous waters. Can also be found in shallow whirlpools.
Personality: Antisocial, solitary, independent, and fearless
Likes: To exclude itself, rain, and doing things on its own
Disikes: Being in huge groups and having to depend on others
Description: Kouryuu are very rare, because they don't like to be around others and they swim in deep waters. Kouryuu is a solitary Pokemon, it stays hidden and quiet, so you wouldn't know if one was around even if it was standing behind you. They are also very independent, they don't like to depend on others for their needs and they'd rather battle on thier own terms. Despite those traits, Kouryuu also tend to be curious, so they may resurace from time to time, just to get a peek on what goes on in the outside world. Kouryuu is good for advanced trainers.
Height: 6"4
Weight: 250lb
Yeah that's about it :) Now, start submitting you Pokemon, so that we can fil this dex up! Let's see if we can get a lot
