Plugin request thread

Well, I'm probably going to upgrade the forums to vBulltin 3.5 quite soon, so I want you to tell me which Plugins you'd like to have.

The difference between a plugin and a hack is, that plugins don't have to be reinstalled whenever the forums are upgraded, but hacks have to.
So actually plugins will stay forever.

Just look around a little, read the description and tell me which ones you'd consider interesting and cool to have (it doesn't matter whether you completely understood what they really do or not).

I will test them out on my testforum (which is hidden somewhere else -don't ask for access) and see if I consider them good or not.

I might also give you feedback afterwards.

no chareon... it isnt what you think it is... actually, it just is a rpg install/mod that increases your lvl/exp every time you post... or something like that...

I would also second for that plugin just because I sorta like it and have seen it on other forums.

The only other plugin I would say something about would be attachments in PM's. I mean, if you want to send a personal file or something... but depends on that plugin.

I actually view this through google translate since my school backend blocks the vb.org site... -.-

I mean unless Chareon or any other of us can modify that RPG plugin then all it does is generates stats... wouldnt be of any use to use for FantasyLeague purpases. Its basically like the points system right now.

I'm suggesting the idea of installing an Oekaki & possibily a wiki onto our forum domain...it would just be another feature. I could install the stuff, lolol.

I was thinking about messing with the hack and prob making something custom like that would accustom to pocket monsters... but ive never messed with vB plugins, php, or sql.

I do backups nearly every time I come on.
I already upgraded another foum to 3.5, I know how to.

If i were you i'd wait for it to go Gold, or download 3.0.9, something more secure. The plugin system may be good, but all it does is allow you to un-install hack's easy incase it damages your database. Oh and for the Plugin here is one:

It should work in Release Candidate 3 since it's higher than BETA 3 anyway it make's it so a member can only use PMs' after a certain amount of posts, might make member's come back, because they want to PM someone.
