As some people might already know, Google released their own IM recently.
It's called GoogleTalk and you can download it here: http://www.google.com/talk/ (http://www.google.com/talk/)

I knew this was coming... lol, just didnt know about the im client name... I suppose this is just another im service, XD... /me waits for the service to be added to a one-connect method... such as gaim or trillian.

It's based on Jabber so it's in gaim already......

I haven't gotten one just yet. Haven't heard or read anything too great about it so Im not in a rush to get it.

Really nothing special, but I like how you can add it to the Desktop Search sidebar. =)

I got it, it's alright. It's better than msn was when that first came out, so I suppose it gets credit for that.

At first i was thinking of getting it. With ICQ and AIM being kinda of well.....Rubbish, but i though hey, why get googletalk when i can just stick with MSN. MSN look's way better and Messenger Plus makes it way better than GoogleTalk.

I know this thread is real old but is there another way to get it cos it doesn't have an option for uk phones...

Its now also built-in into German (and English) GMail-web-interface so you don't have to download the client.
