Is anyone else getting annoyed at the lack of "good" games for the two new handhelds? When I owned my DS prtty much my only use for it was as a paperweight now after buying my PSP I feel I have bought just another paperweight.

the DS is coming with a good chunk of their good games now. I know, they started too early (the DS), there wasn't enough they could give. It's one of those bad mistakes Nintendo makes, and they are normally really good with launches, they give people jsut what they want. But really, this was a misstep. Once mroe though, the fall looks good for them. Nintendogs, Advance Wars DS, Mario Cart, Animal Crossing, and Trauma Center: Under the Knife look good to me. Oh, almsot forgot, Phoinex Wright: Ace Attorney... and the fact they are launching their wi-fi network soon.

Some time this fall I do believe... it does look rather good, but it isn't my cup of tea... I just hope for everyone else that they fixed the controls, the demo was just hard to handle.

metroid... well, that game doesn't turn me on just because the DS's graphics are software rendered... which makes your games poorer quality to something comparative such as the PSP.

but it does cost considerably less, but you have to consider that Nintendo seems to consider "What will work for us(the Japanese)?" so they tend to aim cheaper, less energy needed, more compact ways of gaming.
Graphics arn't really what I care about, if a game looks good thats nice, but if it plays like crud then it could be the most realistic game ever and I still would say "This stink!"
It's what I dislike about seeing "debate" between the console (and now hande-held) wars, people seem to just care about "How purdiful can it make games?"

aw, I'm all about gameplay level... just like I mostly play old school over new gen... and the psp game titles atm aren't fairing up to what I'd play on the DS anyday.

...I feel the DS is just hitting the point of where it's finally got the goods to deliver, and it dosn't seem like this'll be another Virtual Boy. The titles that are going to come out before the end of the year all seem rather unique (or atleast to the US) such as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Trauma Center: Under the Knife, and its bringing ut some favorite like Mario Kart and Animal Crossing. My guess the old skool fans who were aprehensive of the DS just might pick it up now, or atleast consider it more... then again if you look ahead past this year, there really isn't much that they've shown
I havn't really looked into the PSP, mostly because its far out of my price range, and it dosn't really seem to have anything I'm looking for as a gmae system, or even multi-funtion thing-a-majig... I don't want to watch movies on the go and I already have an MP3 player...

I had a PSP I just recently traded it in for a DS and a couple games. Dont get a PSP unless you have a crapload of money for the system, the memory cards, and screen protecters. The games for it imo are crappy same old stuff I've seen a million times.

Wow! That sucks, and I was still deciding on whether or not I should get a PSP or DS =/ Guess I'll stick with the good 'ole GBA. I heard the Tony Hawk and Rayman were good games. Are there any good fighting games?
